Josh’s Recommendations and Highlights Along the Way:
Bondi Beach:
Start your day in the iconic Bondi suburb, known for its vibrant atmosphere and stunning beach. Grab a coffee at one of the many local cafes to fuel up for the walk ahead. As you begin the trail, you’ll pass by the famous Bondi Icebergs Swimming Club, offering one of the most scenic views on the walk. Be sure to stop for a few moments to snap some photos!
Tamarama Beach:
Highlight: If you visit during Sculpture by the Sea (October/November), Tamarama Beach transforms into an open-air sculpture gallery, showcasing incredible art installations against the backdrop of the ocean.
Bronte Beach:
Enjoy a quieter neighbourhood at Bronte Beach, one of my favourite spots to swim. The Bronte Rockpool is a must-see! For lunch, stop by Coop Bronte for a meal. Their chicken burger with truffle fries is delicious, and the service and coffee are top-notch.
Clovelly Beach:
A lovely stop along the way, Clovelly Beach offers calm waters and is perfect for a swim or to relax and enjoy the scenery. Snorkelling is also popular here
Gordons Bay:
Snorkelers Paradise: If you’re into snorkelling, Gordons Bay is the perfect spot to explore the underwater world. The clear waters and vibrant marine life make it a fantastic location for snorkel enthusiasts.
Coogee Beach:
Congratulations, you’ve made it! Finish the walk in Coogee and reward yourself with a celebratory drink at Coogee Pavilion. The Rooftop section, with its stunning ocean views, is the ideal spot to unwind. Be sure to try their famous Pina Colada and enjoy some refreshing oysters while soaking in the beautiful coastal atmosphere.
