The two most popular cities for wealthy Europeans are Nice and near Cannes.\nUntil 1860, the city of Nice was part of the House of Savoy, which later became part of the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia, which eventually became part of present-day Italy.\n\nThen the promenade took on real prominence with Queen Victoria's decision to vacation in Nice in the late 19th century. In the early 20th century, the Grand Hotel was built and what is today the Musée Masséna and Musée des Beaux-Arts are large private houses.\n\nSo the symbol is the boulevard, which in 2015 the City of Nice applied for recognition as a UNESCO world heritage site. However, since applications can take up to ten years to complete, we won't know the results for a while!\nThe Promenade des Anglais (known in Niçard as Camin dei Anglés - the local dialect of the Occitans) was built in the 1820s by order and funding from Revered, along with the Holy Trinity Anglican Church. It's worth noting that, at this point, Promenade isn't even part of France!"},{"type":"text","content":"## What do you need to prepare?\nNormally, this stretch of road only takes about 4 hours to complete.
