Staying here is like a trip to the future. You check in at the self-service check-in facilities in the lobby, which doesn't mean there aren't nice staff there to help you or chat with you. The rooms are like a futuristic movie - small boxy rooms with a large bed, mood lights and a small bathroom. Lighting, blinds, TV and temperature can be adjusted via the iPad in the room - manually or by selecting programmed settings such as 'Party', 'Work' or 'Romantic'. What I mean here is: schedule a time to play with your new toy and different settings as you plan your journey!\n\nThe hotel is carefully designed and art pieces are elegantly placed throughout the common areas. There is a large seating area with sofas, armchairs and a library full of books on the coffee table. On the same level, there is a bar where the staff serve some mean cocktails and more great conversations. You may have guessed it already; the staff really make this hotel very special. Breakfast is also served in the bar area, although the vegan option is not a concern."},{"type":"text","content":"Location: 60 Renfrew St, Glasgow G2 3BW, Scotland\n\nSpend: $80 +\n\nThe hotel is located on Renfrew Street, just a few blocks from Sauchiehall Street (big bars and clubs) and Buchanan Street (Glasgow's upscale shopping street and distinctive architecture). As a result it is on two levels with an upper and lower church. Among the highlights:\n\n* St Kentigern's Catacombs were built in the 1200s to house the remains of the founder of the church and of Glasgow.\nAn unusual arrangement of three aisles in the nave. Look up at the ceiling of this third, shorter aisle. It is called Blackadder's passage, named after the bishop who built it. The special ceiling is intricately carved and decorated with colorful painted bosses.\n* A carved stone screen between the choir and nave, known as the pulpit and added in the 14th century.\n* One of the finest collections of post-World War II stained glass windows in the UK. In particular, check out John Clark's Millennium Window and Francis Spear's 1958 Window of Creation.\n* Guided tour of the Church. Volunteer guides are available to take one to three people on an hour-long guided tour of the church. There is no fee for the tour but donations to the church are suggested."},{"metadata":{"width":563,"height":374},"type":"img","version":1,"content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FwhFtd6NoYb3bB2oRBMJp%2F98c0d629565e4c3bfe08aca733700224.jpg?alt=media&token=ebf32100-8829-415f-8aab-18129acda049"},{"metadata":{"width":576,"height":1024},"type":"video","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FwhFtd6NoYb3bB2oRBMJp%2Ft%E1%BA%A3i%20xu%E1%BB%91ng%20(7).mp4?alt=media&token=0076e648-6444-45a3-8eaa-ebb8ef853b5a"}]}]
