We bought tickets for the Fuiencola (elevator lift) to the viewing points. This was great, we had the lift to ourselves and videoed it as we went up. Faspntastic! Clean, easy to buy a ticket and not overcrowded.\nAt the top, we sat and enjoyed views across Verona. Was so nice, we Stayed up there for around an hour and half an watched sunset!\nWe sat and had a drink in the bar, really friendly member of staff who took a picture for us but certainly spent the time trying to get the best shot!\nAperol spritz and enjoyed the vines of the city. It is surrounded by beautiful old houses, some of which even have frescoes. There is a fountain in the middle of the square with a statue, which is called “Madonna Verona”.\n\nThere are many restaurants and cafes, and at the time of my visit there was a street market. There is an entry fee and we bought the five site ticket which works out very good value. The interior is a real time capsule dating back centuries and if you like Medieval times this is for you., St Zeno the city’s patron Saint was buried here and he lived 1600 years ago,!fabulous frescos as well.
