This is a good place to start your journey. There is a visitor center located on Tremont Street. It has maps and guidebooks and you can do walking tours from the site. Because of these shops, Newbury Street has been described as one of the most expensive streets in the world. These buildings include Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. We enjoyed the live performers outside both buildings. Quincy Market got me thinking about the variety of food options. I had to get the New England-YUM clam chowder. You can spend time shopping in the market or stop by Cheers for a drink. It's been called Boston's Little Italy, and I've listed this weekend's Boston must-do list as a favorite. This neighborhood has the distinction of being the oldest residential community in the city. It dates back to the 1600s. We passed the Paul Revere Shopping Center, where his statue is located. We then stopped at the Paul Revere House. I was told by friends that I must try the canoli at Mike's Pastry. However, once in Boston, we learned that locals prefer Modern Pastry. It's funny that they are on the same street so close to each other. We decided to eat cannolis from both places. I love the ones from Modern Pastry while my niece loves the ones from Mike's Pastry.
