Shibuya has historically been a youth-oriented shopping area which used to cater to the under the 20s population of the city. Recently, numerous departmental stores and malls have opened up in order to cater to a wide spectrum of the population and not just limit the scope of shopping in the area. The area includes all kinds of shopping areas from big shopping complexes and shopping malls to markets and small shops.

The entrance to the park was amazing! I was so surprised to see so much nature in Tokyo. I made my way to the Meiji Jingu Shrine and was impressed by the size and peacefulness of the shrine. It was somewhat busy when I was here on a weekday. The shrine was beautiful and the complex was large. If visiting, be respectful it's not just an attraction but a religious site. After the park, I enjoyed walking around the park. As we went there with our kids, they really enjoy the surrounding enviroment, especially during christmas time there were a lot of lights on the street. Yoyogi Park is one such example that offers a lush slice of piece and quiet, when the city life seems to have gotten the better of you. People playing chess, walking their dogs or hugging trees can be observed and admired here! And it was so worth it. Yoyogi park is behind Meiji Jingu Shrine and one train station away from Harajuku, so it was very easy to make it part of our itinerary.
