In 1653, the castle was captured by Cromwell's forces after a three-day siege. Now, that's a tale of resilience!\n\nNow, look around and take it all in. Notice the stone walls and the surrounding water from Lough Leane. It's so picturesque! You can even take a boat ride to see the castle from a different angle - it's well worth it.\n\nBut there's even more beauty to be found here.
