The road goes along the Pin river with beautiful lush meadows dotting the sides. I had the chance of visiting the villages and sip on butter tea. Some of the villages still have old stone houses following the traditional architectural style of the region. The gompa is more than 1000 years old. Though the fort is now in ruins, it is worth a visit as it offers a great view of the valley.
