The museum utilizes the space really well. The exhibition I saw was the early age painting of the masters. Most of them is Japanese artists whom I don't know much. However, it is interesting that the exhibition divides the artists by the regions where they were from and gives a different insight. It also provides the recent/famous painting of each master so that we can compare the art work of both early stage and later ones. Very interesting. The price is quite reasonable and opens up to 8pm. If the store is closed, you can reach it by taking the escalator in the KyotoStation up to the Cube restaurants. Ramen Koji is on the floor below the top floor. You can choose from about a dozen different restaurants from different regions.The noodles and and the broths vary.
