About this experience

In 1956, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the then industry minister of East Pakistan, applied to the government through his private secretary to get a plot of Dhanmondi residential project situated in Dhaka, the administrative capital. A year later, when the government allotted him a plot in Dhanmondi, he built a one-storey house there. The one-story house had two rooms.
